On those times when my employer is insisting that I take a drug test, I find that starting the day with a poppy-seed bagel with a hot cup of chicory and a pure vanilla flavoring chaser really hits the spot. I also enjoyed when I could make the needle go up and down a lot at my OSI interview.

After they extracted the Dormouse from the teapot, he was still rather sleepy and responded not at all to their fingers poking at him. Disappointed, the Hatter looked at the March Hare and complained, "This is not in the least bit entertaining. I do wish Hannity had accepted our invitation, after a few dunks he would at least have the good manners to beg for mercy."

Once, while I was under the influence of some very pungent hashish in a Korean barbershop, I spoke to Karl Marx. I told him that I had reviewed his scribblings about the proletariat and I found his conclusions and solutions severely lacking. After a moment, he apologized and said that he would do better in the future. I then felt it necessary to remind him that he was dead. He apologized again and wandered off into the hallucinogenic haze, a defeated but wiser man. I awoke sometime later to find that someone had made off with my clothes.

I once found myself in the uncharted jungles of Indonesia surrounded by members of the Papui Gakau tribe. They were known as savages and cannibals, but I knew they had a taste for a certain carbonated beverage. When they found I had in my possession a case of the sugary elixir, we became fast friends and they supplied me with the wonderful sun bonnets they wove from the palm leaves above our very heads and available to you through my catalog. And for that, I say, "Thank you, Dr. Pepper."

Having fun getting to chat with you around the vine. Thanks for the wonderful Werewolf story! Loved the artwork! Look forward to more. :)
I'm very glad to have you as a friend. :)
Excellent posts. I enjoy reading your POV.
Greetings to all you artsy folk. Perhaps you've seen me about NV decry the foulest of foulness or telling the foulest of foul puns. But my place is truly in the artistic parts of the Vine and I am very glad to see this group.

The fireman in red said with soot on his face, A house is not a home, you see. There's nothing here that can't be replaced, And he offered this wisdom to me: Don't hang your tinsel too close to the fire, Or it will all come burning down. The tree is glowing and the embers …

I keep hearing the hue and cry for term limits. It is one of the most intellectually dishonest political arguments that can be made. And if you think "term limits" is a good idea, then I am talking to you.

There was I, young, supple, firm to the touch, And, oh, how I longed for the warm caress of your hand. You took me in, yet, you have wounded me, my love. The anguished and distorted smile I wear is the one you put on my face. You pierced me and removed my very inner being. And t …

These are a few photos I took of a tree in Latta, SC, back in the spring. I was trying to improve my shooting on this horrid Sony digital camera that I absolutely loathed. These were some of the better shots and I'm not exactly sure what type of tree it is.

Here we see, courtesy of Jim Cole from the Associated Press, an elderly woman seeking to plant a wet, sloppy one on Republican Presidential candidate Mitt Romney. However, upon closer examination, we see she wanted to make his visit a bit more memorable.

The forest dark, The moon is high. Run and flee, The feral cry. Don't stop, don't turn around. You've trespassed on troubled ground. Cry out! Let your fear escape. Slow down, hot breath on your nape. Cursed man, catch you if he can.

Somalia has a lot of problems...a lot of problems -- problems that we, as the American people, can't solve. It's been this way for quite a while, but war and civil unrest tends to do that.

Fade in on a wooden stage in an old, darkened theatre. A single spotlight illuminates the heavy red curtain and a hush falls over the murmuring audience. The curtain parts in the middle and a single marionette makes his way to center stage with tapping footste …

I got an e-mail from my younger brother that this woman, Karen Hill, was the wife of Henry Hill, played by Lorainne Bracco in Goodfellas. In actuality, this is Karen Hill, but I went to elementary and high school with her and she was not the wife of Henry Hill.

Coming from a family of scientists and teachers, I observed with a curious eye during the constant bombardment of the Casey Anthony trial that something was familiar in her appearance and, yet, alien.

Yeah, so I was taking a break from my usual artistic pursuits and decided to have a little fun and satirize the Waterloo, Iowa, nonsense that has been filling some television programming gaps.

I read the article on Andy Warhol's "Self-Portrait" sale at Christie's, but I didn't really have to. I've seen these types of articles before and will, without doubt, see them again. What I found amusing was the commentary that followed the article.
